Heavy rain disaster in Western Japan

Occurred on Jun 28 thru Jul 8, 2016

Flooding rivers, inundation and landslides occurred in numerous regions
224 people dead , 459 people were injured and 8 peoples were missing

In order to enable people affected by the disaster to return to normal life as quickly as possible, PARIS MIKI distributed emergency glasses to people who needed them at stores located near affected areas. We were also involved in the following support activities at evacuation centers.

2019 Typhoon No. 15 & No. 19 Disaster

[Typhoon No. 15] September 09, 2019 Chiba Prefecture
[Typhoon No. 19] October 12, 2019 Large typhoon made a direct hit on an extremely large area

Destructive winds from Typhoon No.15 caused power outages and destroyed homes and Typhoon No. 19 which followed made a direct hit causing flooding over a wide area
773,500 houses in Chiba alone lost power and rivers in Fukushima and Nagano burst their banks

COVID-19 Pandemic

PARIS MIKI donated approximately 1,000 anti-pollen glasses used for hay fever protection and emergency stockpile safety glasses from our inventory together with anti-fog cleaner for glasses when wearing a mask to certain ophthalmology clinics to prevent infection of medical staff.
